Formerly known as the Johannesburg International Airport, the OR Tambo International Airport is located at Kempton Park, at a distance of about 21 kilometers from Johannesburg City in South Africa. Home to South African Airways (SAA), it is the largest and the busiest airport in this country. Situated at an elevation of 5558 feet above mean sea level, the OR Tambo International Airport is owned and operated by the Airports Company South Africa.
This airport with a couple of asphalt surfaced runways measuring 14,495 feet and 11,155 feet is also a hub for a number of regional airlines.
