Built to host the 10th. Non-Aligned Summit in September 1992, the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC)– or Balai Sidang Jakarta – is Indonesia’s largest Convention venue with state of the art facilites. JCC is versatile and is used the whole year through for formal conventions to elegant wedding receptions, as well as for prime trade exhitions. The Non-Aligned Summit in 1992 was attended by 62 Heads of State and delegations from 109 countries.
Located in the heart of Jakarta at Senayan within the Central Business District, JCC is situated across Jakarta’s Stock Exchange. The Jakarta Convention Center has a large round Plenary Hall that can accommodate 5,000 people, large exhibition halls that together cover over 11,000 square meters, Assembly halls that can cater to 3,500 guests for receptions or for theatre style conferences, and rooms for smaller meetings and breakout sessions.
Because of its central location, the Jakarta Convention Center is within easy reach from many of Jakarta’s de-luxe hotels that themselves offer a variety of facilities for conventions and social functions. To name a few, they are the adjacent Sultan Hotel, the Grand Sahid Jaya, Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, the Grand Hyatt and the Shangri-La by the Sudirman Boulevard and the Ritz-Carlton and the Marriott Hotel at Kuningan. Hotel Borobudur at the Banteng Square is another venue that caters for large conferences.
