My husband David and I live in a four bedroom villa in a small town just north of New Plymouth City on the central West Coast of the North Island of New Zealand. All our children have left home and are spread between Auckland and Australia. We thought about moving to some where smaller but our kids think of this home as their roots.
We live just a short drive away from the Waitara River and the sea where my husband spends a lot of time surf casting. I tend to take up space in a beach chair with a good book.
Our house is cosy with two fires, one in the dining room and one in the living room and the four bedrooms are reasonably spacious and comfortable. We have one big bathroom that includes a toilet and an outside toilet where the laundry is.
We also have a man's pad that has a reasonable pool table, bar and fridge and a number of visitors/guests have enjoyed a quiet night with some cold ones and a few games and nice music.
We have a large deck and a bbq area with spacious grounds and off road parking.
Our little town has all you need for shopping and a couple of nice eateries. Given we are only 15 mins away from the city and less than 10 mins from the airport everything you want to find in a city is available there. Our city has become known as the worlds most liveable city with lots of parks, coastal walkways, and good surfing beaches and a wonderful museum and gallery. Our mountain is also another feature that attracts visitors.
I am also connected to the local tribes and have a vast knowledge of our culture and history and can arrange for guided tours to places of significance.
We look forward to hosting you.
