Also known as is a 12th-century Muslim castle situated in northwestern Jordan. It is placed on a hilltop belonging to the Jabal Ajlun ("Mount Ajlun") district, also known as Jabal 'Auf after a Bedouin tribe which had captured the area in the 12th century. From its high ground the castle was guarding three wadis which descend towards the Jordan Valley. It was built by the Ayyubids in the 12th century and enlarged by the Mamluks in the 13th, the name 'Ajlun goes back to a Christian monk who lived on this mountain in the Byzantine Period.[1] The castle stands on the ruins of a monastery, traces of which were discovered during archaeological excavations.

Madaba (Mount Nebo):
Approximately 710 meters (2,330 ft) above sea level, mentioned in the Hebrew Bible as the place where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land. The view from the summit provides a panorama of the Holy Land and, to the north, a more limited one of the valley of the River Jordan.

Qasr al- Hallabat :
Is a town in the Zarqa Governorate of north-western Jordan, north-east of the capital of Amman, the town is named after the Umayyad desert castle located there, to the east of the castle stands the associated bath house of Hammam as-Sarah.

Qasr Amra :
Is the best-known of the desert castles located in present-day eastern Jordan. It was built early in the 8th century, some time between 723 and 743, by Walid Ibn Yazid, the future Umayyad caliph Walid II, whose dominance of the region was rising at the time. It is considered one of the most important examples of early Islamic art and architecture.

Azraq Wetlands Reserve:
Is a nature reserve located near the town of Azraq in the eastern desert of Jordan. An oasis for migratory birds, Azraq was established in 1978 and covers 12 square kilometers (4.6 sq mi). The natural springs dried up in 1992 and most migratory birds subsequently moved away from the area. Artificial springs are maintained today in order to keep the site a tourist destination.

Qal'at al-Azraq :
Is a large fortress located in present-day eastern Jordan. It is one of the desert castles, located on the outskirts of present-day Azraq, roughly 100 km (62 mi) east of Amman.

Qasr al-Kharrana :
Is one of the best-known of the desert castles located in present-day eastern Jordan, about 60 kilometers (37 mi) east of Amman and relatively close to the border with Saudi Arabia. It is believed to have been built sometime before the early 8th century AD, based on a graffito in one of its upper rooms, It is one of the earliest examples of Islamic architecture in the region.
